Before You Leave
Things to Pack

Pack Smart,
Pack Right.

🎒
Main Bag
Trolley or rucksack — both work since we have hotel and campsite stays. Carry a small daypack or handbag separately for treks and hikes.
👟
Footwear
Sturdy shoes with good grip — mandatory for the waterfall trail and Rajgundha. Floaters on treks? Not a great idea.
🩳
Waterfall Day
Shorts or track pants for the waterfall trek day. You will get wet. That is literally the point.
👕
Extra Clothes
Pool property + 2 waterfalls. Pack a generous supply of extra clothes. You'll thank yourself later — guaranteed.
💵
Cash
Billing to Rajgundha zone has zero network. No UPI, no cards. Carry enough physical cash for this stretch of the trip.
🧥
Light Jacket
Rajgundha and Barot nights get cold even in late June. One warm layer is non-negotiable — pack it regardless.
🪪
Aadhaar Card
Original government ID required at checkpoints and some stays. Don't leave this one behind.
💊
Personal Medicines
We carry a first aid kit and basic meds. If you have prescribed medicines, they are your responsibility to pack.
☀️
Sun & Skin
High-altitude sun is no joke. Sunscreen, lip balm, a reusable water bottle. Small things that make big differences.
📷
Cameras & Gadgets
GoPros, drones, DSLRs — bring what you like. All expensive and fragile gear is at your own risk. Mountains are unpredictable.

Where to Eat & Drink

Our Picks
in Bir.

🌅 Sunset Spot
Cafe 360
Reach here by sunset. Best panoramic view of Bir — no debate, no competition.
🌄 Hike + Sunset
Northern Cafe
Another top sunset spot — involves a short hike. Worth every step, we promise.
🍛 Our Favourite
Cafe 366
Best Himachali cuisine at the best price in Bir. Our personal pick. Don't skip this.
🥟 Tibetan
Tenzing Jamdol
Authentic Tibetan food. Go for the momos and thukpa — honest flavours, no frills.
☕ Coffee + Bakery
Bir Bake House
Right at the landing site. Good for morning coffee and bakes. Slightly overpriced but very convenient.

That cafe everyone posts from. Try the cheesecake and pasta — they actually live up to the hype.

Up in the Hills

No cafes.
Just mountains.

Rajgundha and Barot are real offbeat. No fancy dine-in, no curated menus, no Instagram corners. Just pahadi uncle-aunty serving parathas, kadhi chawal and maggi — with a river soundtrack. This is the part of the trip most people remember longest.

📍 Rajgundha
Kadhi Chawal
& Momos
At the riverside dhabas. Eat with your feet practically in the river. Simple and unforgettable.
📍 Barot
Pakode
& Jalebi
Near the Barot fountain. A vibe you genuinely cannot recreate anywhere else. Trust us on this one.

Leave No Trace
Our One Ask

"These places are pristine
because very few people reach here."

Let's keep it that way. No litter on trails. No plastic left behind. No beer bottles near the river or any natural spot. Carry your waste back. The mountains don't ask for much — just that we don't take them for granted.

This isn't a rule. It's a responsibility we all share.
