Information We Collect

1.1

When you apply to join Unlistd Life or book a trip, we collect the following information:

1.2

We do not collect or store card numbers, bank account details, or payment credentials. All transactions are processed by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant. Their privacy policy governs payment data.

1.3

We may also collect technical data such as browser type and IP address through standard server logs when you visit unlistd.life. This is used only for security and analytics purposes.

How We Use Your Data

2.1

Your information is used exclusively to review your application, coordinate your trip, and communicate with you about Unlistd Life. We use it to build better-matched batches and improve the experience.

2.2

We use your WhatsApp number and email to send trip confirmations, pre-trip briefings, and essential updates. We do not send newsletters, marketing broadcasts, or promotional spam.

2.3

Application data (interests, travel style) is used internally by the Unlistd Life team only to evaluate fit and curate groups. It is never published, sold, or shared.

2.4

We do not use your data for targeted advertising, algorithmic profiling, or any automated decision-making beyond trip curation.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

3.1

Unlistd Life does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third-party company, advertiser, or data broker.

3.2

Your contact details may be shared with trip leaders and co-organizers solely for the purpose of coordinating the trip you are confirmed for. These individuals operate under the same confidentiality expectations.

3.3

In exceptional cases where Unlistd Life transfers a trip's operation to a partner company, basic booking details (name, contact) may be shared with that partner. You will be notified in advance.

3.4

Unlistd Life uses the following service providers who may access your data as part of their service delivery: Razorpay (payment processing), Google Workspace (email), and WhatsApp Business (communication). Each is bound by their own privacy policies.

Simple rule: Your data goes to the people coordinating your trip and the tools we use to run it. Nowhere else.

Photography & Media

4.1

Unlistd Life may photograph or film trips for marketing and social media purposes. By participating in a trip, travelers grant Unlistd Life a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use their likeness in trip-related content published on Unlistd Life's channels.

4.2

Travelers who wish to opt out of photography must notify Unlistd Life in writing (email or WhatsApp) before the trip begins. Opt-out requests received after the trip commences cannot be guaranteed.

4.3

Travelers may share their own content from the trip on personal social media. Unlistd Life encourages tagging @unlistd.life but this is not required. Travelers may not misrepresent or distort Unlistd Life's brand in any content they publish.

4.4

Unlistd Life will not use trip photos or footage in any commercial context beyond its own social media, website, and marketing materials without explicit written consent from the individuals depicted.

Retention & Security

5.1

Application data is retained for up to 12 months after submission to allow for future trip consideration. Booking and payment records are retained for a minimum of 3 years for legal and tax compliance.

5.2

Data is stored on password-protected systems with access restricted to authorized Unlistd Life personnel only. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.

5.3

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, Unlistd Life cannot guarantee absolute security of your data in all circumstances.

Your Rights

6.1

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data Unlistd Life holds about you. Send your request to hello@unlistd.life and we will respond within 30 days.

6.2

You may request that we correct or update inaccurate information in your booking profile. Contact us at any time and we will make the correction.

6.3

You may request deletion of your data at any time. Note that if you have active or recent bookings, some data must be retained for legal and financial record-keeping purposes.

6.4

If you believe your data has been misused, you have the right to raise a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in India or seek legal remedy under applicable Indian law.

Policy Updates

7.1

Unlistd Life may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always published at unlistd.life. Material changes will be communicated to confirmed travelers via WhatsApp or email.

7.2

Continued use of Unlistd Life's services after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. The version in effect at the time of your booking governs that trip.
